Jean Dubost, over 100 years of fine French cutlery!
April 01, 2024
When buying French knives, it is not enough to know that they were made in France. The superior knives come from a specific locality or commune, named Thiers. Thiers is located in the Southeast of France in a rural picturesque region and is home to the top French knife makers.
One of the most popular is Jean Dubost. The Jean Dubost company was started in 1920 and today Alexandre Dubost leads the cutlery business in its 4th generation. Using modern technology while maintaining tradition, they are able to offer first class products at a very attractive price.
We have been offering their most traditional line of steak knives, the Laguiole, for several years and are proud to count them as one of our favorite brands.
The bee-adorned knife sets are available in two varieties:
The open-box series is the most affordable. They feature 1.2mm thick stainless-steel serrated blades and, as the name implies, come in an open wooden box. The serrated blades offer effective cutting without a need for sharpening.
The Deluxe series knives look similar but have 2.5mm smooth stainless-steel blades and are presented in a attractive closed wooden box. The thick smooth blades can be easily sharpened over and over.
Accent your French table setting with a set of genuine Jean Dubost knives today!
